Welcome to PTV-Investing.com blog. I will use this as a stream of consciousness of current market position. Feel free to comment or post a question in the comments area.

Price - The instantaneous amount the market is willing to pay for a specific issue.
Time - A count of instantaneous prices, usually from a price low to a price high (or visa versa).
Volume - The amount of commitment the market has for a set of instantaneous prices.
PTV-Investing.com attempts to measure price, time, and volume and predict a future price level at a specific time.
PTV-Investing.com provides free charts and analysis of the major indices. Analysis methods from WD Gann, Elliott Wave, and Askey are used. Metrics such as overbought / oversold, advanced / decline, McClellan index and oscillator, put/call ratio, and investor sentiment are discussed.
More detailed analysis and industry/sector work is available as a subscription service.
Should I subscribe?
I have two general category of subscribers.
The first group wants to see more detailed analysis and workups in individual industries and sectors. They occasionally ask about specific industries and time frames not yet covered and I try to meet those requests if my data allows that analysis.
The second group are those who appreciate my efforts and want to say thank you and help to pay for my personal expenses used to purchase data, software, and services.
If you do not require more information than is available for free, then no, you do not need to subscribe. As long as enough people do use the data and enough people subscribe to help pay for the cost to maintain this site/blog, then I will continue to provide free charts to anyone interested.
Blog Posts
My blog posts are a stream of consciousness that capture what I am seeing and thinking – usually at the end of the day. Some days I won’t have anything to post and some days I will post multiple times. I will keep my topics to price, time, and volume analysis. I will occasionally pass on hearsay from other websites, blogs, television, and news media I have encountered. I have a lot of opinions in areas outside of price, time, and volume analysis. But I do not want to waste my time posting about those here. I will appreciate it if comments are limited to the “what” of market action and not the “why”. Market mechanics, such as the put/call ratio and open interest, along with sentiment and unnatural pressure days, such as holidays and tax days, are validate topics.
Trading the Cycles
Please read the PTV-Investing.com Disclaimer before considering any market actions based on the information at this site. I have found that reading the cycles and profiting from the cycles are two entirely different animals. I have been completely right on the cycles and still lost money because I did not trade them correctly. This site alone is not intended to, and in fact will not, provide you with all the information necessarily for profitable trading. There are many good books on investing and trading available that you should read before attempting to put money into the markets. I will not list any as investing/trading books can start as many arguments as politics and religion.
If you are already a seasoned trader, you don’t need me to tell you what and how to trade. If you are just starting out my only advise is to start very small and give the majority of your money to a good mutual fund manager. Morningstar.com or Investors Business Daily provide lists of the best performing mutual funds – pick one or more of the best.
