Nasdaq Composite Bullish Percent Index
July 24th, 2008 2 Comments
One metric used by a couple traders I know (who are much better at the day to day business of making money than I am) is the Nasdaq Composite Bullish Percent Index (BPCOMPQ). The movement they look for is the percent of bullish stocks moving up through the 10 day moving average. Continue reading

The SP500 Index (SPX) Gann Fan of the October to July Range is progressing nicely up the 8:1 ascending angle. It is much to early to do long analysis of this fan. But in the short term price is moving as expected. Continue reading

Follow-Through Day on All Indices
July 22nd, 2008 No Comments
The Nasdaq Composite (COMPQ), SP500 Index (SPX), Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU), and Smallcap 600 (SML) all finished at highs on high volume. The Nasdaq 100 (NDX) finished at a high but about flat - which is not bad considering earnings misses. The SPX swing chart is very constructive. Continue reading
