The price of Natural Gas Continuous Contract NYMEX has moved up to the 25% price line and is nearing the 1×8 angle which should be resistance. After the fast move by price, I expect a pullback caused by the angles above.

Energy Weak As XLE Shows High Volume Distribution
October 2nd, 2009 3 Comments
The Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) had a high volume down day to the 50 day moving average yesterday. One high volume drop can mean nothing. But note the number of high volume bars in the past two weeks. There is definitely distribution going on in this ETF.

Natural Gas Continues Weak Streak
September 9th, 2009 No Comments
The Natural Gas Continuous Contract on the NYMEX continues to follow the inverse slope down that it moved up from 2001-2005. Price has bounced for two days off the spike down to 2.41 last week. A short term bottom may have been made.
West Texas Crude At Decision Point
August 21st, 2009 2 Comments
The price of West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil (WTIC) has moved back to the 1×1 descending angle while climbing the 1×1 ascending angle from the December low. My expectation is that price will drop from this point and test the July low (at the minimum). Should price continue higher then it is stronger than I am guessing and probably would move back to near $100.

Updated Charts of West Texas Intermediate Crude
July 28th, 2009 No Comments
Price of West Texas Intermediate Crude oil has broken through the slope line parallel to the 2007-2008 climb. Price could recover from here, but my guess is that it will complete the current run at or near the 1×1 descending angle.

Natural gas continues down. A complete retrace of the range from 2002 is a buck eighty-eight. There is not much on this chart that indicates the move down is near completion.

Light Crude Continuous Contract (WTIC) followed the 8×1 and 4×1 angles down from the 2008 top. Price has been basing near the 2007 low since January. The recent uptick appears to have hit resistance at the 2×1 angle and made a big drop today.
