Weekend Outlook – 15Nov09

November 15th, 2009 4 Comments

The Dow Jones Industrial Average from 1929-1942 has provided a near perfect Roadmap of the Nasdaq since 2000 (as perfect as things get in the markets).  Price bounced 63% from March to November 1938 just as it has bounced about 71% this year.

Weekend Outlook – 05Jul09

July 5th, 2009 No Comments

A long term comparison of the Dow in 1929 to the Nasdaq in 2000 show the markets in sync. A continuation of the move beyond 60% would signal that long positions are becoming higher in risk.

Weekend Outlook – 14Jun09

June 14th, 2009 2 Comments

The Nasdaq Composite chart from 2000 appears to be the great grand child of the chart of the Dow Jones Industrials from 1929-1938.

Weekend Outlook – 07Jun09

June 7th, 2009 2 Comments

This week I compare the Gann fans of previous time frames to the current move in the SP500 index. The Gann Emblem shows time moved through the 90 day cycle and the market should be watched for weakness.

Weekend Outlook – 17May09

May 18th, 2009 No Comments

The 218 calendar day cycle is hitting as price is forming a second inverse head and shoulders pattern. Base on base formations often lead to a strong bull move upwards in price.

Weekend Outlook – 03May09

May 3rd, 2009 2 Comments

Analysis of the square root price progression shows price has moved 720 degrees off the market low. This level often provides a top of some nature. In this case, a top to regroup and then move higher. The May cycle turn is near and price is not making a low as hoped for.

Weekend Outlook – 21Dec08

December 21st, 2008 No Comments

The Winter Solstice is upon us which means I head to Wal-Mart and spend a lot of money on junk the kids won’t want in a month.

I noticed that my screen for new IPOs in the last 30 days has 13 ETFs and no real stocks.  No one wants to own a stock and everyone wants to trade.

I see two possible paths in price from here.

May 2009 and the Sidereal Lunar Cycle

December 18th, 2008 No Comments

I previously mentioned in a post about Gann and the Sidereal Lunar cycle the relationship to the 218 day cycle. Briefly, the 218 day cycle has come up multiple times in my work and the translates into approximately eight Sidereal months.

New Roadmap – Dow 1929 versus Nasdaq 2000

October 25th, 2008 2 Comments

A comparison I have been looking at recently is the DOW crash of 1929 versus the Nasdaq Composite crash of 2000. There are a lot of similarities that are lost when comparing the DOW to the SP500.

Weekend Outlook – 12Oct08

October 12th, 2008 2 Comments

The cycle on my roadmap hit this week and I assume a low will be made within a few days next week. It is possible the low is in now, but a gap down on Monday will not worry me if price recovers quickly. A continuation of last week’s price action would invalidate my call on this cycle turn.
