The US Dollar (USD) broke below the 1×1 Gann angle and bounced off the descending 1×1 angle in the lower square last week. The 1×2 angle which supported price in September intersected the 1×1 at the turn.

US Dollar Gaps Down After Nine Month Run

The US Dollar (USD) gapped below the 1×2 Gann angle of the July-October range. The next support will be at the 1×2 of the March-October range and then the 1×4 angle near $78. A 50% retrace of the March-October move is near $80.

US Dollar Remains in Strong Position

The US Dollar (USD) looks to be in a strong position after a significant move up. The dollar ran up significantly in the late 1990s and retraced all of that move from 2001 to 2008.

US Dollar Correcting After 15 Week Run

The US Dollar (USD) has made a strong 15 week run since mid-July. It appears to have made a top and is correcting now. Price won’t be bullish until it moves above the 1×1 descending Gann angle. But does look strong in this time frame.

US Dollar Retracing Recent Move

The US Dollar (USD) began a long drop in 2001 after a big run up. Using that slope at the low in March shows the 1:1 Gann angle near $73 which is a 75% retrace of the short term move.
